Chopin Chardonnay 2016
( Item in stock! )This beautifully rich Chardonnay was barrel-fermented and spent 9 months in French oak. During maturation the barrels were transferred to our Swigmore Hall and ranged around the piano. Peggy regularly played Chopin to them. Normally called our Reserve Chardonnay, we named it this year in honour of Chopin to acknowledge the subtle rhythms and harmonies contributed to the wine by his music. Our deep granite soils continue our tradition of producing fine Chardonnays with intense and full flavours. This wine is medium-bodied with a bouquet of tropical fruits and melons. The palate with peach and fig flavours is well-balanced with the fine oak has a long finish.
